Legends British Bar & Restaurant: A Little Piece of Britain in Warsaw
For nearly fifteen years, Legends British Bar & Restaurant was one of Warsaw's best-known expatriate pubs. Located on Emilii Plater Street, just a short walk from the city center and the Marriott Hotel, Legends offered visitors an authentic British pub atmosphere in the heart of Poland's capital.
Opened in September 2010, the venue quickly became popular among British expatriates, international visitors, and local residents. Guests could enjoy classic British dishes such as fish and chips, full English breakfasts, burgers, and a wide selection of British and Irish beers, including Guinness. The pub was also famous for broadcasting major football, rugby, and other sporting events on large screens.
The business was closely associated with Graham and Beata Roose, who managed the company from the time of its opening. Under their leadership, Legends developed a reputation as a friendly meeting place where people from many different countries could gather, watch sports, and enjoy traditional pub hospitality.
After serving Warsaw's international community for almost fifteen years, Legends closed permanently around 2025. Although the pub is gone, many former customers still remember it as one of the city's most authentic British establishments and a favorite meeting point for expatriates and travelers alike.
Today, Legends remains a small but memorable part of Warsaw's modern social history.
