 Expats in Warsaw certainly use social media. Are you doing it in a useful way? Nowdays advertisement and suggested posts pollute your feed so massively that you can barely receive the news feed of the pages and groups you are following. A poweful solution is the use of browser extensions:

Social Fixer for Firefox is quite interesting. You have to search for other browsers equivalent extensions. Some extensions are not available in the official repositories but can be found with a search. FB Purity is one of such cases. 

 While very powerful FB purity as probably too many functions and that might make it less user friendly.

Instead Social Fixer is easier to use and has a function that might be not present in FB Purity: the option to order the posts of your feed by the newest one and not by top stories (that means the social media choose what is important to read for you, how nice of them).

 

 Smarphones can install Kiwi Browser to be able to install chrome extensions. What actually works well has to be tested but useful extensions can be found.
